Kyrgyzstan’s 1st Stamp Set of 2016

Kyrgyz Express Post issued the first stamp set of 2016 featuring the four unique Minerals of Kyrgyzstan.The Mountainous country of Kyrgyzstan is famous for its huge and equally rare mineral deposits which cannot be found anywhere.
Hence, with support of the Institute of Geology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic Kyrgyz Post issued a set of four stamps.
The stamps featuring four unique Minerals of Kyrgyzstan namely Aragonite, Realgar, Stibnite and Kyanite come with the denominations of 50.00 KGS, 75.00 KGS, and 100.00 KGS (Kyrgyzstani som).
Geologists from the country make huge efforts to study and bring these unique resources to the attention of the public.
